Paste or write your VO script here. The moment the text changes, the reading screen and the duration counter below update with it — there is no save button.
Type [pause] where you want to stop for a beat — on the reading screen it appears as a — PAUSE — block, and it is never read aloud or counted as a word.
Press Play and the text scrolls on its own. Two amber arrows mark the reading line at the centre of the screen. Mirror mode flips the text horizontally, for reading through a glass reflector in front of the camera.
SPACE — play / pause (outside the script box) · R — back to start
The six things that decide whether a recording works — read them once before you record, use them every time after.
The hook is the most important line in the script. Read the opener with your highest energy and clearest emphasis — viewers decide whether to stay or swipe right here.
Stop briefly every time you move to a new point. Mark the stop with [pause] in the script so you never rush and your breathing stays even.
Read questions with a rising tone at the end. It sounds minor, but it is what makes a VO feel like a conversation instead of an announcement.
Do not start strong and fade in the middle. If you are tired, stop and re-record that section — listeners can hear energy drop.
A small furnished room, an open wardrobe, or a parked car absorbs echo far better than an empty room with tile floors.
Record a 5-second test: your voice must not clip (too loud) or sink (too quiet). Listen back on earphones before the full take.
A rough guide to how many words fit in one video at each pace. The highlighted row shows where your current script lands at Normal pace.
